Profile - Peter Ffrench

Peter Ffrench has over 20 years senior executive experience in marketing, sales and general management positions with leading national companies across a diverse range of industries.

After a solid grounding in sales with Kellogg’s Australia, Peter led Marketing and Sales at Pauls Ltd (now Parmalat) through the initial years of dairy industry deregulation. During 11 years there he established Pauls as one of Australia’s premier marketers of branded milk and fresh dairy products.

Peter was the driving force behind the development of the ENERGEX brand as ENERGEX Retail met the challenges of the newly deregulated and corporatised electricity and gas markets. In various senior executive roles Peter led Marketing, Sales, and the Retail business, building a strong national position and forging partnerships with blue chip corporate customers, launching a successful array of innovative products and instilling a progressive customer management strategy for ENERGEX’s 1.1 m customers.

Peter also worked as Marketing Director at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, in market research, and was a non-Executive Director of Energy Impact Pty Ltd. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Insitute

Profile -Carolyn McSweeney 

Equipped with a commerce degree—majoring in marketing and retail management, and an arts degree majoring in journalism and public relations, Carolyn’s career has propelled her from an Advertising Coordinator, to Marketing Manager, and now consultant, assisting  organisations to gain a competitive advantage through strategic marketing advice and support.

With her expert knowledge of branding, product development and management, Carolyn has  the  know-how to capitalise on the “secrets” she has learned over a multi-industry career to deliver meaningful results that lead to greater profits, better margins, and vastly improved customer satisfaction.

Carolyn's experience includes: Marketing and Brand Manager for Colorado Adventurewear; National Marketing Manager at GWA-Dorf Clark Industries;  and  various marketing roles at Ergon Energy where she developed specialist understanding of the renewable energy sector.

Carolyn is a member of the Institute for Management, The Australian Marketing Institute and the Society for Competitive Intelligence and serves on the Committee for the Mater Foundation and is a listed mentor with the Department of State Development and Innovation (Qld).

Profile - Nicole Hastie

Nicole has over 20 years experience in research, marketing and general management of small businesses.

For the last twelve years, Nicole has led and managed state-wide professional bodies, with a particular passion for membership growth through value creation, innovative business partnership strategies, good governance practices and the nurturing of professional communities of practice.

Nicole’s diverse career experiences perfectly positioned her for general management responsibilities. She has held research positions with the Commonwealth Attorney General’s Department and a community health organisation, she has owned and operated a small business in the retail sector, and worked in sales and marketing for companies such as AMP, Dreamworld and Mirvac Hotels where she became Marketing Manager for a leading Sydney property.

She is a graduate of the University of Queensland and holds a Diploma from the AICD Company Director’s Course.
